Row 1-3: With MC *K1, P1* across

Row 4: With MC K all STS

Row 20: With MC K all STS

Work the following colorwork chart 7 (8, 9) times respectively for size S (M, L)

The chart is read right to left, bottom to top.

If you want a longer leg you can knit more rows before starting the heel flap.

HEEL FLAP

You will work the heel flap across 1/2 of the total ST count.
So 28 (32, 36) STS respectively for size S (M, L).

Row 1: With CC *SLP 1, K1* across half the total ST count (total of 28 (32, 36) STS worked), turn

Row 2:  With CC SLP  1, *P* across the STS worked in Row 1, turn

Row 4: With MC *SLP  1, K1* across all heel flap STS, turn

Row 4:  With MC SLP  1, *P* across all heel flap STS, turn

Repeat rows 1-4 for a total of 7 (8,9) times or 28 (32,36) rows

HEEL TURN

You will temporarily move your BOR until all gusset decreases are worked. You will need to mark this new BOR no matter what method you are using to knit your socks.

With MC K half of the STS on the heel flap, place marker, this is now the BOR.

K across remaining STS. Pick up 14 (16, 18) STS down the side of the heel flap. Pick up one extra ST to close gap. PM

K across the next 28 (32, 36) STS (top of foot). PM and then work 1 extra ST before picking up the 14 (16, 18) STS up the other side of the heel flap.

K across to BOR.

Round 1:

K until 3 STS before first non-BOR marker, then SSK, K, SM

K until next marker. SM, K1 K2TOG

K until you reach BOR

Round 2:

K all STS slipping makers as encountered

Repeat Rounds 1-2 until you are back to your original total ST count of 56 (64, 72)

You may now move your BOR marker back to its original position

K until desired foot length is reached & cut MC yarn

Toe Decrease

Color Sequence for Size S (M, L) respectively:

Row 1 through rows 9 (10, 11) work toe decrease with the color yellow

Row 16 (18, 20) through row 19 (22, 24) work with the color white

So For Size S (M, L) there will be :

9 (10, 11) rows of yellow

6 (7, 8) rows of orange

4 (5, 5) rows of white

Toe Decrease Repeat:

While staying within the color sequence stated above:
