Summer Knitting (& crochet) Inspo

When you think of knitting or crochet you likely think of fall and winter. I bet you think about beanies and chunky sweaters, BUT there is a whole world of spring & summer crochet waiting to be explored!

Now admittedly I do not knit alot of spring and summer wear. I like my beanies and chunky sweaters haha and there is no reason you cannot knit fall & winter items during the warmer months. You knit what makes you happy.

For many makers the warmer season is a time to get ahead on fall and winter stock for their shop or markets. If you need a break from the warmer knits though here are a few tips & pattern suggestions.

1)Ditch the bulkier yarns for some nice fingering weight yarns or even dk, dk weight yarn is knit at a loose gauge can still be pretty light.

2)Buy some yarn that has linen or cotton in it. Now I am personally not a fan of cotton yarn for anything that is not home decor but again you do you. A lovely example of a light weight linen yarn is Trailhead yarns.

3)If you really are not into summer garment knitting, make some home decor. This is a great time to make some wall hangings, dish cloths & throw pillows.
