Skully Corn Bag- Free Tunisian Crochet Pattern

FREE HALLOWEEN PATTERNS – THE SKULLY CORN BAG

Are you looking for free Halloween patterns? You’re in the right place, here you’ll find many fun Halloween patterns for free including Halloween amigurumi patterns! One of these free Halloween patterns is my Skully Corn Bag – a Tunisian crochet colorwork pattern for a fun trick or treat bag for little ones! When I initially designed this bag, I just had candy corn with a face in mind. It turned into so much more! He is mister skully corn and has a goofy personality! I’ve also added some fringe at the top to give the effect of spider webs. I hadn’t intended for his head to be in the shape of a skull but I love that it turned out that way so I went with it! I hope you love making him as much as I did!

Cut 6 in. tails for each color and weave in the ends into the wrong side.
Next, bind off and do not cut the Col A yarn that is on the hook. With bag folded over wrong side out and with the wrong side of colorwork towards you, sl st join the side and bottom of the bag. Or seam up the side and bottom using your preferred method of seaming.
Bind off leaving an 8 in. tail and weave it into the wrong side of the bag. Turn bag right side out.
Attach Handle:
Locate 3 sts on the top side of the bag, pick up 3 loops and work Tss across for the desired length. Once the strap is long enough (for reference, I continued for 15 inches), Sl st into the opposite top side of the bag.
Attach Fringe:
Cut 22 6 in. pieces of Col C and attach 2 pieces in every other stitch all around the top of the bag and trim as desired. This adds a spooky spider web-like touch!
