Welcome to the KGC Blog

Welcome

Be sure to check out my About Me section to learn a little bit more about Knotty Gurl Crochet.

My main purpose of this introductory post is to say hello and give you all a brief overview of what you can expect to find here on this blog. No it will not be solely a crochet blog. I know that might seem a bit confusing as my brand name is Knotty Gurl Crochet,
but I am hoping to use this blog to not only showcase my love of crochet but my love of many other crafts and hobbies (which I will delve into momentarily).

First off I need to offer a disclaimer...I am NOT a writer haha. Therefore I can guarantee this will not be the most grammatically correct or well written blog ever ( I love to ramble and I have a terrible habit of using run on sentences lol). I want this blog to be a reflection of me and my personality and be a place to share whatever random ideas I feel like sharing. The blog might be a tad random at times and jump all over the place from topic to topic, but that's me (kinda random lol).

So what can you expect to see here? Well my main goal is to use this as not only a blog, but also a place to connect makers (of all kinds, not just crochet). I am hoping to have  regular posts which will be an interview style questionnaire that will allow makers to learn more about their favorite makers and spread the word about ones they maybe haven't even heard of.  I feel like sometimes we get into a bubble where we only really know and support makers of crafts similar to what we make ourselves and there are so many different types of makers out there. I think it is important to broaden our maker horizons and support each other no matter the craft type or style.  #supporthandmade

On top of this series (Meet Your Maker) I am hoping to post about all of my various interests including but not limited to: crochet, knitting, painting, sewing (this is new I just got a sewing machine for Christmas) reading and baking. So like I said a bit random, but hopefully there will be a little bit of something for everyone here.

This is my first endeavor into blogging so thank you in advance for your patience while I work out all the kinks and find my footing.
